In 2005, Hurricane Katrina swept through the Gulf coast decimating everything in its path. Tens of thousands of homes were destroyed, nearly 2000 people lost their lives and damages were in the billions of dollars. Ten years later, much work remains and thousands long to return home. Since 2011, Westwood Presbyterian Church has been sending mission teams to New Orleans to assist in the rebuilding work, these teams work not only to rebuild homes, but to rebuild hope while sharing the love of Jesus Christ with our neighbors. We hope that you will join us as we blog daily, we hope that you will pray for us while we serve, and we hope that you too will be inspired to join the continuing recovery effort of New Orleans.
